Gaitania is a charming village nestled in the Planadas municipality of Tolima. This region has a rich history, once serving as a refuge for political prisoners from the Liberal party. Over time, the Liberales and Conservadores forged a strong bond, leading to the renowned kindness of Planadas’ residents, celebrated throughout Colombia.

The indigenous Nasa Wesx community, spread across Cauca, Huila, and Tolima, produces coffee in Gaitania. Collaborating with the ACEDGA and ASCISP cooperatives, the Nasa Wesx are dedicated to quality and environmental conservation, achieving organic certification for all their coffee. Their coffee, washed and dried on raised beds to perfect moisture levels, is famous for its delightful floral hints, and notes of citrus, peach, and caramel.
